WATCH DAGS' PLAYING CAREER
As a 5’6 120 Lb Sophomore in High School, Steve Dagostino knew that in order to reach his Basketball Dreams he would have to be smarter, and more skilled than every player he faced. In a basketball world that continually told him he had no chance of success, he took matters in to his own hands. At 14 years old, Dags began tailoring workouts focused on having unlimited shooting range, and indefensible ball handling technique. As Dags’ success grew, so did his workouts. He began adding in new dimensions. He expanded the workouts to focus on playmaking ability and creating hundreds of options for finishing around the basket. By the time his senior season was over, Dags averaged over 21 pts and 5 assists per game, played on the Nike Sponsored Elite AAU squad and was a consensus 1st Team All-Area Pick.
Under recruited as a high school all-star, Dags got passed on by every D1 school. With his highlight tape and resume out to every school in the highly touted NCAA D2 Northeast 10 Conference, he received 1 response, a scholarship offer from The College of Saint Rose. Before stepping on campus, Dags added new competitive phases to his workouts, focused on dominating the most repetitive GAME SITUATIONS. By the time his college career was over Dags was not only a 2-time MVP of the NE-10 Conference (The same conference that every school passed on him), 2-time 1st Team All-American, and 2-Time 1st Team Academic All-American.
After college, Dags signed with the biggest sports agency in Europe, playing professionally in Italy, Spain, Hungary, UK, and Iceland. He worked with National Team Coaches and successful pro players to add the technical and efficient concepts of European Basketball Training to his system. He competed in high level European Leagues such as Spain-Leb Gold and Italy - Legadue. His career was highlighted with a Cup Championship in which he scored a record 35 pts and shot a record 8/10 from 3.
